Venice Retreat Project

For this exquisite residence in Venice, California, Jake Gevorgian had the honor of creating the walnut wood cabinets that grace the kitchen. Designed by renowned architect Noah Walker, each cabinet door was meticulously book-matched — a technique where adjacent slices of wood are placed face-to-face so the grain patterns mirror each other, creating a harmonious and visually stunning effect.

The rich, natural finish of the walnut adds warmth and sophistication to the modern aesthetic. Every cut, joint, and finish was executed with precision, resulting in cabinetry that serves as both functional storage and a piece of art.
